The conference will arrange a guided photo safari of Bergen city on Tuesday 25th of October at 10.30 hrs. This is an offer for the delegates who arrive early for the conference and want to have a closer look at Bergens fine photo opportunities. This is an opportunity to get some nice photographs of Bergen guided by local photo enthusiast.

At the evening og Tuesday 25th of October it is our pleasure to invite you to the Bergen Municipality Conference reception at Håkonshallen. Håkon’ s Hall is The King’s banqueting hall. Håkon’s Hall is 750 years old, and was built by King Håkon Håkonsson as a royal residence and banqueting hall. When his son Magnus Håkonsson Lagabøte married the Danish princess Ingeborg in 1261, 2000 guests were invited. “The King held court in the stone hall” say the sagas.
At that time Bergen was Norway’s largest and most important town, and Håkon’s Hall was the site of major national events, such as the drawing up of Norway’s first complete set of laws. Inside the thick stone walls there are still echoes of the medieval court’s solemn ceremonies and riotous feasts. As a national cultural monument, Håkon’s Hall is still used both for royal dinners and other official occasions. It is easy to see where His Majesty the King usually sits.

On the morning of Wednesday 26th of October we will arrange the traditional guided jogging tour of Bergen. This experience offers a healthy and unique way to discover the winding alleyways and mountain panoramas of Bergen with an experienced jogging guide at your side. The guided jogging tour is included in the registration fee. Just remember to tick off the appropriate box during your registration.

A conference dinner will be held on the evening of Wednesday 26th of October. The conference dinner will be held at «Fløien folkerestaurant» on the summit of the Bergen funicular. A spectacular venue with a unparalleled view of the city placed 320 meters above sea level.
The conference dinner ticket costs NOK 700.
This includes the funicular ticket needed to reach the venue.
